We are passionate leaders in many fields and believe that what we do makes a positive difference to our community.The RoleThe Active Ageing Project Officer plays a pivotal role in the implementation of the City of Unley’s Active Ageing Strategy, providing expert advice on emerging trends and contemporary practice. The core responsibilities include developing successful partnerships with external stakeholders, managers, team leaders and coordinators to facilitate the implementation of the Active Ageing Strategy.  The role also drives continuous improvement and customer experience focused initiatives within the City Services business unit.About youTo succeed in this role, you will have:Previous project management experienceExperience in working with volunteersExperience in undertaking research and project workExtensive knowledge and understanding of Active Ageing and Age Friendly Cities principlesPrevious experience in planning, facilitating, and managing community projectsAn understanding of the relevant State and Federal policies and legislationDemonstrated organisational, administrative and time management skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to think strategically to identify and implement strategies to achieve agreed objectivesSound interpersonal skills with ability to relate to older adults with empathy, warmth and understandingThe extrasThe role offers outstanding conditions of employment and benefits that are designed to attract and retain the best people.
