These roles are based at the Unley Civic, Unley Toy and Goodwood Libraries and are the first point of contact for our library customers.With your significant background in a similar customer service and/or library environment you will utilise your active listening skills, empathy and professional communication style to offer a one stop shop approach to diverse enquiries. You will be an organised and proactive member of our team with the ability to multitask and work with limited supervision. Your confidence in navigating systems will make certain that you provide a timely and accurate information service within our ever changing environment.About youYou will have a drive to support and advise our customers to ensure their experience in our libraries is exceptional.You will show initiative with strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously to deliver excellent customer service.To succeed in this role you will have:A passion to provide exceptional service to a vastly diverse customer base, in a fast paced, multi-faceted environmentAvailability to work across our two library locations on a 7-day roster including Thursday late nights until 8.15pm and weekendsGood availability to work unscheduled shifts with minimal noticeExperience working within a multi-skilled team environmentDemonstrated use of information technology hardware, such as computers, printers and photocopiersDemonstrated use of information technology software including databases, Microsoft Word and Excel, social media and the internetSound knowledge of book stock, electronic and other library resources is preferredKnowledge of the Dewey Decimal system is highly desirableWorking knowledge of library management systems is highly desirableSound knowledge of public library aims and objectives, policies and procedures is preferred.The extrasYou will benefit fromCollective Enterprise AgreementsSalary sacrifice contributions to your nominated superannuation fundComplimentary insurance to protect your incomeComprehensive programs designed to improve your health and wellbeingThis position is being offered on a casual basis.
