Based on the city fringe, less than 4 kilometres from the Adelaide CBD, the Council engages with their community across local business initiatives, community events, arts, environmental sustainability, community services and volunteering programs.We are passionate leaders in many fields and believe that what we do make a positive difference to our community.The roleThe Senior Building Officer will play a key role in the Development Services team, with the core responsibility of the position being development assessment, building inspections and relating customer service.You will be part of a small team of experienced building surveyors, primarily dealing with proposals involving residential and urban corridor developments and the resulting inspections required under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016.This role also provides coordination for the major developments within the City of Unley. This provides a single point of contact for developments for both the internal and external stakeholders to ensure that these projects can build high-level professional relationships that will result in coordinated project delivery.About youYou will be a Level 1 or Level 2 Accredited Building Surveyor with extensive experience in development assessment, inspection and compliance functions with a willingness and drive to deliver high level customer service.  You will be a team player willing to pitch in when circumstances present themselves, focused on achieving positive outcomes with an ability to work autonomously when required. Remuneration is to be in line with our Enterprise Agreement for MOA Level 6 (Salary range $99,157.21 - $105,779.26).
