About the role
The Compliance Officer role is responsible for providing high level customer focused compliance services and ensuring all development work undertaken within the City of Unley is completed in accordance with relevant development approvals, related legislation and community expectations. Working as part of the Planning and Development team the role offers a level of autonomy and self-direction with guidance and support from related development services teams.
The role is primarily focused on investigation and enforcement of alleged breaches of the Planning, Development, and Infrastructure Act 2016 and Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act 2016. Compliance investigations of the role are varied and includes work addressing minor development concerns to undertaking formal enforcement actions and resolution of complex development breaches.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A working knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016, Local Nuisance and Litter Control Act 2016, Local Government Act 1999 and related legislation, policies and procedures.
