About the roleAs a Team Member of the Unley Civil and Response Team you will join a group that takes pride in maintaining and servicing The City of Unley’s community and assets. This position involves emergency response, sweeping, street cleansing, signs maintenance and trades maintenance. It also offers a diverse range of reactive works, suiting an individual who thrives in a busy environment where you don’t know what the next day will bring.About youTo succeed in this role, you will have: Experience in the operation of plant and equipment, including backhoe, excavator, loader, sweeper (MR), leaf blowers & chainsaws Experience responding to customer requests and proactively resolving queries within a reactive environment. Ability to undertake construction and maintenance activities including: Paving repairs, concrete works (kerb & water table) road repairs & drainage maintenance. Replacing and installing street signs & traffic management data collection devices in the Council area as part of a defined program. Street and drainage cleaning, graffiti removal and street sweeping Line Marking experience desirable but not essential.
