The role
To undertake Open Space, Biodiversity, and Sports and Recreation maintenance using professional horticultural techniques in accordance with approved plans, policies and hours allocated.
We are seeking passionate applicants that have a budding desire to contribute to the horticultural improvement and general maintenance of Council's parks, reserves, ovals and biodiversity gardens.
We want a team player by collaborating with the wider team to produce the best results for the City of Unley.
About you
To be considered for this role you will have demonstrated experience in horticultural, biodiversity, parks, reserves and turf maintenance. You will have exceptional communication skills and sound organisational and time management abilities. You will be willing to embrace new technologies in relation to streamlining operations and ensuring efficiencies.
To succeed in this role, you will have a:
· Certificate III in Horticulture and/or equivalent experience.
· Drivers licence and MR Truck licence;
· Work Zone Traffic Management Certification; and
· Competency in chainsaw use.
You are accountable to complete work schedules and be responsible for the high standard expected within the City of Unley’s community .

This position is being offered as full-time permanent with a starting salary at the team member classification level commencing at $85058 + 12% superannuation.
It will also be critical that you hold a Department of Human Services Screening or have the ability to obtain one as part of the recruitment process.
