This is a significant strategic journey for Council that will enable Unley to be a place where our people and environment are thriving, opportunities and excitement abound, and our sense of community is stronger than ever.About the OpportunityThe Buildings & Facilities Lead is entrusted with leading a dedicated and motivated team within the City Assets Department who are responsible for delivering on Council’s obligations regarding the management, maintenance and development of its key buildings.In 2024, Council adopted its newest Buildings Assets Management Plan. The Plan encapsulates the City’s strategies in providing accommodation for its civic, administrative and operational functions as well as community services such as sporting and recreational activities, libraries, community centres, public amenities and works depot.Some of the key responsibilities expected of you will be to:Deliver Council’s annual capital and renewal works programs.Ensure the effective management of all Council’s building services contracts.Liaise with community groups, sporting clubs and other Council stakeholders to ensure our buildings and facilities are fit-for-purpose.Deliver Council’s property requirements relating to its leased buildings and facilities.You will have a leadership style which is naturally empowering, collaborative, supportive, encouraging and focused on driving a positive team culture.
