Economic development and the growth of the city is anticipated to be at the centre of this ambitious future.The Council staff are passionate leaders in many fields and believe that what we do makes a positive difference to our community.About the roleThe Business and Economic Development Advisory Committee (BEDAC) is comprised of up to six Independent Members and two Elected Members. The primary focus of the committee is to provide strategic advice on fostering growth and development within the City of Unley's economy and broader business environment. BEDAC will identify key issues and opportunities across the council area and position the City of Unley as a leader in business and economic growth and development.In particular, the Committee will support the creation of Council’s Economic Development Growth Strategy 2026-2030, offering strategic insights and leveraging opportunities to enhance local economic outcomes. This includes driving growth in employment, attracting new businesses, supporting home-based enterprises, and cultivating new industries in the region.
